RPM Limit Detector

The Moritz RPM Limit Detctor is designed to meet the requirements of BHT specification 209-075-326 for the AH-1J, AH-1T, UH-1N and several versions of the BELL 212. The only modification necessary to change from one model to the other is by resetting the front accusable “Jumpers”. The RPM LIMIT Detector monitors, with great accuracy out of range RPM excursions from the Main Rotor, and Two Engines. An audible and visual alarm is provided to alert the pilot when low and high RPM speeds are detected.
To reduce the risk of mechanical response so prevalent in a Helicopter environment and to increase reliability, the number of boards and discrete components has been reduced to a minimum. The component count reduction was made possible by the use of State of the art field programmable gate arrays and hybrid circuits. This unit is environmentally sealed with O-rings on all the hardware, and EMI gaskets throughout.
